MINNEAPOLIS – Jury choice is resuming within the trial of a former Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot an unarmed Australian girl who had referred to as 911 to report a potential assault.
Mohamed Noor is charged with homicide and manslaughter within the July 2017 loss of life of Justine Ruszczyk Damond. Damond, a 40-year-old life coach, had approached Noor’s squad automobile within the alley behind her dwelling when she was shot.
A pool of 75 potential jurors stuffed out questionnaires Monday. Attorneys for each side and the choose agreed to dismiss six individuals on Tuesday primarily based on their written solutions to questions reminiscent of their experiences with an individual of Somali heritage.
